Kae's 1st Macs party

Kae attended her very 1st Macs party on sunday.

Kaden was the boy of the hour; he is now 2 years old!

Kae sure had loads of fun playing with daddy's and mummy's friends' kids and babies.

And meet the 2 youngest babies of the group! Left is Nathalie, and right is Junyu, they were born 2 weeks apart :)

And not to forget the cake, or shall I say cakes! The cupcakes were actually for the children; the Thomas Train cake was for Kaden to blow his candles on, but the cake itself was for us adults! It's a lychee martini cake! Hah!

girly Kae, finally!

Finally, girly toys for Kae!

She has been playing with her rides, her trains, her balls, and her clubs. We finally decided to let her play with more girly toys.

The tea set trolley was a present from Miki, and Kae was hooked on it the moment she saw the set. But not before she saw the Hello Kitty Gas Stove Basket set mummy finally got for her after 3 trips down to Robinsons! They are selling it at $29.90, the retail is $59.90! Other places like Takashimaya and Isetan are selling it at $44.90! Of course must buy from Robinsons! It was like sold out the 1st weekend!

Words of Advice

1. Please don't offer Kae any food just before she's about to have dinner. It is common sense.

2. Please don't play with Kae when she's having dinner. It's tough enough to make her concentrate on her meal without people sitting around her trying to make her do anything but chew the food instead. Play with her after she's finished her dinner. Can't you just bloody wait?

3. Please stop saying that Kae's hair is still long even after her fringe has been cut. I don't want her to look like a nerd in short fringe. Better yet, why not I shave off her hair instead and let her look like a nun?

4. Please stop criticizing how Kae eats her rice. One time is enough. We do not have to eat the way you do. Not everyone is like your children. And your soup doesn't taste all that good.

5. Please stop playing favorites and keep saying that Kae likes who and who. Kids' feelings can be hurt, and to rasie an adult's ego is just childish.

6. Please check thoroughly what's wrong when Kae crys if we are not around. Don't let her suffer in her pampers full of shit without knowing. Use the organ known as the nose.

7. Please say what you want to say directly to us, and not running off to the in-between as and when you like. Your words are not translated to me unless I ask specifically or something happens. So give it up!

Santouka's still my number 1

My parents came over to take care of Kae on Tuesday.

I attended the complimentary workshop provided by Canon, as we bought their 500D. The 2 hour lesson basically touched on the different functions of the camera. The trainer did give us some tips here and there. But as the class was huge (think there were like 45 attendees), I don't think we really learnt much. Maybe I will consider attending their paid course. Hmm. But then again, I am not that into photography yet. Hah!

I met dar for dinner at Santouka. Usually, when Kae is not with us, we try to eat at places where we won't/can't bring her. For Santouka, as the place is quite cramped, even though they have baby chairs, we won't bring Kae there. Also, I don't think her stomach can take the rich taste of their ramen.

The main reason we went there on Tuesday was because there was a promotion for Santouka. There is this 1-for-1 coupon for their Choice Pork ramen which can be found on Sunday Times (22 Dec 09) as part of The Central's anniversary celebration. Woot woot! Oh, the coupon is only valid till 29 Nov 09! Super yummy! Santouka is still my number one ramen shop. Hmm. Will it be overtaken by Ippudo when it opens its doors in December? We'll see.

Seriously, I think Santouka is a hot favourite with people. Imagine, we were there for like 30 minutes, and dar saw 2 different friends having dinner there too!

JG no more

Yesterday, Kae attended her last lesson at Julia Gabriel Playclub.

We've decided to place her in a full day centre come next year. Erm, but we've not yet found a place for her. Hah. We will decide more in this when we are back from our Perth trip. Yes, we are going to Perth in early December! Woot woot!

Anyhow, I felt quite sad actually after the last class. Having spent 1 and 3/4 terms there, it's inevitable that one feels nothing about leaving; leaving the place where you spent 2 hours of your time twice weekly; where you watch your daughter play and learn; where you get to spend time with other children and mummies. I have no idea if Kae understood me when I told her that we will not be going back to JG come next term. Sigh.
