Kaden's bash at JWT Gym

We attended Kaden's 3rd birthday party today, which was held at the JWT Kids Gym.

Kaelyn had loads of fun at the party, even though she was one of the younger kids there; the birthday boy is just 1 month older than Kae. Even though the birthday boy is just 3 years old, as most of the children invited are older, the games that were planned for the party seemed more suitable for the older kids. But luckily, Kae had her older friends to guide her along the way. She was somewhat scared and did not dare to try out the games initially.

I couldn't take more photos of the party as we were up to our neck taking care of Kae and Kerri. I can't wait for Kae's birthday party in January. We have more or less decided on the venue. So, stay tuned for more information!

the Perfect Cycle

We went to East Coast Park for Kae's 1st official ride.

Ah yes, the bicycle is a hand me down from her cousins. We wanted to let Kae try and see if she likes to cycle before considering buying her a nice one for Xmas.

So, she likes to cycle. No big surprise here. Hence, mummy dearest went to google on bicycles for toddlers.

And this is what we hope to get for Kae this Xmas.

Presenting the Strider Running Bike.

This bike is not commonly found in Singapore. I think the concept of the Strider is more acceptable in the Western countries. The advantages of a Strider Running Bike can be found here (too lazy to type out :p).

Here's hoping we can find and get one in time for Xmas!

Great Scott!

It's that time of the year again; we attended the Barclays Singapore Open over the weekend.

We brought Kaelyn along on the 3rd day of the tournament, like what we did last year.

And we had to eat outside the Barclays Pavilion as children under the age of 16 are not allowed in. Luckily for us, the weather was kind, and we could walk around 3 holes before we decide that it was time to leave. Yes, just 3 holes. Hah. It's kinda tough to walk with Kae around. We decided that we would venture longer the next day.

So day 4 of the tournament arrived. Alas, by the time we reached Sentosa, rain came pouring down. And poured it did for the next 5 hours. Yes, we stayed in the Barclays Pavilion from 12 to 4pm, before we decide that we wouldn't be able to catch any golf action this year. Indeed, this year has been the worst. 5 and 1/2 hours of play suspended. They actually resumed play after we left, but it was really late then.

So, this year I didn't have the luck to witness Adam Scott on his 3rd win at the Barclays Singapore Open. Sigh.

And of course we bumped into Serene, and Michelle also attended this year; this was her 1st time at the Barclays Singapore Open and it just had to rain.

Oh well, there's always next year!

the Rich & the Good

I have been craving for sweets recently. Cakes, pastries, chocolates, sweets. So one fine day, I asked dar if we could go to either K-ki, Glace, or Flor for some sweet indulgence. Sadly, his answer was no as he didn't want to put on more calories.

But that's how we ended up buying the swiss rolls from the Rich and Good cake shop. Yes, that is the exact name of the shop.

Apparently, they are quite well-known for their swiss rolls. We bought the Kaya and Durian flavoured rolls. And they taste great! They taste more like cakes actually, very soft fluffy cakes, rather than how swiss rolls usually taste. And for a price of $13 for 2 long rolls, they are worth every penny. The only thing is that the shop is right in the middle of Arab street area, and packing is hell.

I would definitely get dar to buy more rolls back. And I still intend to visit the 3 cafes in the near future.

Sweet tooth attack!

2 more months to Kae's 3rd birthday

It is exactly 2 more months to Kae's 3rd birthday.

We celebrated her 1st birthday at Coffee Club Siglap. For her 2nd birthday, we had a simple bbq dinner at home with the immediate families.

Since we didn't throw a bash for her this year, I'm thinking of having one next year, which is in 2 months' time. She has been attending parties recently, and is old enough to comprehend that parties are fun. She totally enjoys herself at each party, as she has friends to play with and party packs to bring home.

The age old question is where should the party be held. We are now sourcing for the perfect place for Kae to have fun with her friends on her special day. This is the 1st party for Kae that she can remember. It has got to be perfect!

And the cake is another issue altogether. Sigh.

Oh and as she is attending school now, we've got to prepare party packs and another cake for all her friends in school. Lots to be done!

Visit to the Gardens

We brought the girls to Botanic Gardens today.

Sick and tired of shopping centres, we decided to go somewhere where we can relax and chill. Although we can't really chill with 2 kids clinging on to us. Hah.

So, we ventured to Botanic Gardens. Just to take a relaxing stroll and have lunch at Casa Verde. The lunch was good, but too pricey for my liking. It's like a high class fast food place. Yes, there are no menus and you have to order at the counter like at fast food restaurants. What can one expect from a restaurant under the Les Amis Group?

Dar had the Aglio Olio, I had the Spaghetti Marinara, and Kae had the 3-in-1 platter which consists of nuggets, fries and Spaghetti Bolognese.

After lunch, we took a leisurely stroll around the park, stopping every now and there to take some photos of the girls. Mainly of Kae actually, as Kerri was sleeping during the stroll.

We'll be back! For a picnic when Kerri's older! Heh!

Miki and Ian

We went to visit the Soos today, mainly to take a sneak peek at Ian Michael Soo.

Ian is the newborn baby brother of Mikaela Faith Soo. The estimated due date of Ian was actually Miki's birth date, but I guess the little prince doesn't want to share his special day with his sister; he was born 3 days later. So, the 2 siblings are exactly 3 years and 3 days apart.

It was weird carrying Ian. I mean, Kerri is also considered a newborn, but just 4 months apart, the 2 of them are already so different in terms of size and looks. It shows that babies can grow up just too quickly.

And of course, the other reason for visiting the Soos on a public holiday was to let Miki and Kae have their long overdue playdate together. The last time we saw Miki was on NYE at Clarice's place.

See how they have grown since their very 1st playdate in Dec 2008. Heehee.

more Foie Gras please

I must say, I've been crossing paths with my love recently, and by my love, I mean foie gras.

Yes, the last was at the Mezza9 brunch and just today, it was at Au Petit Salut. Come end November, it will be at Basilico. But before then, I may meet up with Mama Jo for another round of our love.

Yes, she's my partner in crime who loves her foie gras too. And it so happens we both love Au Petit. So is it any wonder why we meet up at our happy place for our happy food?

Missing my love already.
