Sushi Kuu

I met up with C for lunch at Sushi Kuu today.

The food are not priced cheaply. But I will definitely patronize this place rather than Tatsuya now because my last visit to Tatsuya was disappointing. Look at my assorted seafood on sashimi rice set lunch. Simply delish! And the sashimi all tasted so fresh.

C has the assorted sashimi cubes on sushi rice. Looks real tantalizing yah?

Each set comes with miso soup, udon and ice-cream.

National Day Parade Preview!

We were very lucky this year to get the balloted tickets for the National day Preview. Our first in like forever. Actually dar was the lucky one as his NRIC number was picked.  The girls were really excited! Massive number of photos coming up!

The feeling of catching the parade in real life cannot be described. The atmosphere, the performances and the fireworks were just spectacular!

Things to note. There are goodies packed in the goody bags and you can check what will be given on the NDP website. Like for instance, this time round, there will be 2 bottles of water in each bag, and so we did not bring any water with us. Other items like ponchos, visors, tidbits, handiplasts, etc were also given. Given that we have to be seated by 5pm, try to have an early dinner before heading down, and pack some simple takeaways like sushi or sandwiches, in case you go hungry. In the end, we had our dinner at 10pm near our home as we were waiting to drive out of the heavily congested marina area.

Till next year!

Primary 1 Registration for 2015 Intake Phase 2C

It is official! Kae will be a student at RGPS come 2015! It had been a nerve wrecking 3 weeks plus as we had to see the number of vacancies dwindle from 270 daily for Phase 1 (which started on 3rd July), Phase 2A1, Phase 2A2, Phase 2B. And came our turn in Phase 2C. You can refer to the different phases here at this link.

Luckily for us, somehow this year, when it came to Phase 2C, RGPS had 102 vacancies left (which is considered a lot seriously!), and all within 2km got in without balloting. So our move to Shelford was not made in vain!
