Aud's farewell

Our dear friend will be moving to Hong Kong to work for a year come March. And so, we met up for dinner at Gyu Kaku and drinks at Dragonfly one last time in Singapore.

And yes, we even managed to get the rare guest from Geylang to join us.

Have fun in Hong Kong Aud. We'll miss you. And hopefully, we'll visit you in August, provided there're no "accidents".

Happy birthday to my One & Only

Dar just turned 1 year older.

We celebrated his birthday 1 day in advance with dinner at DB Bistro Moderne. I have quite high expectations of the food there as it is a celebrity chef restaurant. But sadly, I was only impressed by their special starter for the day, lobster fettuccine.

While I loved the broth of their Casserole Provencale which consists of mussels, clams, shrimps and fennel, I do have a complain. The broth is simply not enough! After I removed all the shells of the mussels, clams and shrimp, it became a pathetic bowl of soup which I could easily finish in 5 mouthfuls. Yes. Everything in 5 mouthfuls.

Dar ordered the Steak Frites, which is actually a 10 oz grilled sirloin that comes with mesclun salad, pommes frites and bearnaise sauce. Being a fan of red meat, he was quite disappointed by the taste of the beef; there was a taste to it, a kind of taste that meant that it was either not fresh or not defrosted properly before being brought to the flames.

We skipped the dessert as we were not impressed with what were offered in the menu.

The next day, we celebrated with the girls with a cake from Patisserie Glace.

Dar chose their rare cheese mango decor cake. It is one of their new flavors for the month. And yummy it is!

Happy birthday dar! *Muacks*

Happy V Day!

I celebrated Valentine's Day this year with my 3 loves.

Instead of heading out to the restaurants for a overpriced meal on this hyped up day, we stayed indoors instead; I cooked dinner.

A simple dinner it was. With another small gesture from me to all 3 of them; a DIY decorated cake by me from The Icing Room. Okay, I know it looks very childish and amateur. It took me like 20 minutes to decorate the cake as I was bjorning Kerri, and it was tough to manage just with one hand.

Hope you peeps had a nice Valentine's Day!

人日 dinner at JING

We had our 人日 dinner at Jing this year.

Our kind host chose this place as he wanted everyone to have a good view while enjoying their dinner. And what a view we had.

Kerri was in her best behavior that night. No crying, no whining. Mummy could have her dinner in peace. Kaelyn was a tad whiny, but she could have been worse. Hah!

And of course, we ended the night with a group shot. Till next year!

CNY day 4

We spent the whole of day 4 blowing bubbles.

Yes, Kae loves her bubbles. Especially now, as she was given this bubbles bottle in a party pack. So, mummy dearest will bring out her bubbles bottle when she can remember and if we are heading out to an open space.

We brought Kae downstairs for her bubbles blowing activity. And of course, daddy had to join in the fun.

After their afternoon nap, we brought the girls to ECP to continue Kae's bubbles blowing activity as well as to have our dinner there.

I think I will miss ECP when we move later in the year. Sigh.

CNY day 3

Day 3 was a more relaxed affair.

We went to my brother-in-law's place in the late afternoon. And the kids kept themselves busy with cny goodies and Beyblade. Yes, the "in" toy of the moment. They were a huge hit last Christmas, so we bought them as presents for dar's 2 nephews.

Our next stop was to a friend's place. Kaelyn loves it when we hang out with this group of friends as she loves to play with her favourite big sister Melissa.

Not forgetting the other big brothers and sisters playing Wii up on the 2nd level.

And my favourite brothers ZY (who used to be Kae's classmate in school) and JY.

And while Kae was busy playing with her big brothers and sisters, we just had to seize the moment to take photos with Kerri. Kerri has so much less photos taken of her compared to Kae.

CNY day 2

Day 2 was spent at my 3rd auntie's place.

Kerri became the centre of attention as she was the youngest baby in the extended family; she will lose this status come April and June though. Everyone were trying to carry her without making her cry.

Kaelyn was terrified of the lion dance performance this year, hence no photos of the lion dance troupe not the God of wealth this year.

We finally managed to have a photo taken of all the young ones in the family.

And also a photo of us 4. We only have a few photos of us as a family.

And of course, us 2.

CNY day 1

Like last year, the 1st day of the Lunar New Year is the busiest for us. So, we didn't have much time for photo taking, especially with 2 kids by our side.

But I hope to start from next year a yearly tradition of photo taking with the girls. For all days, and not just day 1 like this year.

And of course, the 3 of them love to pose cheekily for the camera.

Kaelyn was not in a very good mood this CNY. She only managed to interact with Issac, whom she only see a few times yearly.

Kerri was in a cranky mood too; she didn't have enough sleep.

And all the kids were fixated on the iPhone as usual.
