We brought the girls to Adventure Cove Water Park today. We thought it would be best to head there on a weekday as it should not be too crowded. We were wrong.
Even without the weekend crowd, the place was packed with tourists. Faint. I cannot imagine how the place is like on a weekend.
The phone was not with us on the entire trip as we had to juggle 2 girls amongst the 2 of us. So no photos were taken and memories captured. But the girls had fun, as they do at all water play places. It's like being at Seaworld in Gold Coast. Less rides of course. And on a smaller scale.

Racial Harmony day
For this year's Racial Harmony day, the girls wore Ao Dais, which are Vietnamese dresses bought by their paternal grandparents when they went for a trip to Vietnam. But I didn't think they look very Vietnamese. Aren't they supposed to have longer sleeves?

Finally, Tim Ho Wan!
Finally, I met up with Clarice and we dined at Tim Ho Wan for tea! Erm, actually, it's for our lunch, but we ate at nearly 4pm haha!
I reached at around 330pm, and though there was a really short queue ahead of me, I could have been seated if Clarice had reached as the people in front were also waiting for their friends to turn up. Tim Ho Wan will not seat you unless the whole group has turned up. And it is definitely easier to snag a table for 2 pax. So when Clarice reached about 15 minutes alter, we were whisked away almost immediately to our table.
My verdict: Though the food is nice and quite worth the money, I do not think it is worth it to queue and wait for hours for the food. I can get nice dim sum at Royal China or Lei Garden. But popping by once in a while at around 3-4pm (when the queue is not that daunting) is okay since I like their pork buns; very sweet! Their prawn dishes are fresh too!

Play date for the girls
Keppel Club has become the usual spot for the kids' play dates. This is because 2 kids from the gang learn swimming there. And today, after their swimming class and the kids' usual water play, we head to the bowling alley for some bowling fun.
The girls!

PAUL at Takashimaya
I met up with Cherine today for lunch and some shopping. We decided on PAUL and this would be my first time dining there ever since they opened.
Their coffee was alright. Usual cafe standard.
I thought their bread was too hard, and I'm not referring to just the crust alone.
I do love their crepe and it was an excellent recommendation by Cherine. I forgot what cheese they used but that was the main ingredient which I felt made the crepe taste better than anywhere eels. Besides, what can go wrong with the mushrooms and cheese combination?
Their chocolate tart was average, nothing to drool over for.

Tatsu Sushi with the girls
This marks my second trip to Tatsu Sushi for lunch. I think I should have stuck to my previous order the 1st time round, the Tatsu Bento. This new Bento comprising of sashimi and some fried food with the cod fish didn't look and taste super appetizing.

And since I didn't have a chance to bring her during the June holidays, I took the opportunity today to bring her to the Children's Season - Island Adventures 2013 at the Singapore Museum of Singapore.
We bought the optional craft kit which is available at $5 for Kae to do the additional hands-on activities, like the making of the ang gu kueh and the head piece.
The kids nowadays won't know much about these old time playgrounds we used to play at when we were little.
Kae also learnt more about the different cultural costumes, though I think she wasn't listening to the volunteer who was trying to keep her interested.

And before her Berries class, we went to St Marc Cafe for a short tea break. We tried their Chocolate Banana Split before, so this time round, I ordered their Matcha Milk to try. Big mistake. The former had more ice cream and this Matcha kind has crushed ice together with ice cream. Please check with the counter staff before ordering. I think all with "Milk" has crushed ice in them.

And while waiting for Kae to finish her Berries class, I sipped my favorite Green Tea Latte. Available at Macs for a limited time only.
Burp. Ate too much.

a Super day
We managed to sneak some couple time in the form of the movie Man of Steel. Of all the superman movies, I think this is the best one! And with the cutest Clark Kent ever!
We drove around looking for a place for coffee, and we ended up at Five and Dime. This was our first time there, and the place was full house on a Sunday late afternoon. We managed to get seats after like 5 minutes and decided we would just have coffee.

Kerri's excursion to Scoop of Art
Kerri attended the gelato workshop at Scoop of Art together as part of her school excursion. I didn't make it but was told by the other mummies Kerri had fun making her own gelato!
Another place to consider for kids parties!
