We have been spending money even before the trip (which is about 44 hours away, yipee!).
The main items are of course warmer clothing for Kae, and for myself. It is really fun shopping for autumn clothes for Kae. She looks so darn cute! We bought just 2, a raincoat from Zara, and a jersey from Gap. I lurve lurve all the Zara winter clothing! Now I wish we can move to a country with 4 seasons :)
Another buy is the umbrella stroller. We were thinking that it might be easier on us if Kae woujld sit on the stroller at times when we travel along the streets of Tokyo. We finally decided on the Maclaren Volo. It weighs only 3.9kg! And it is so easy to carry! Oh, my dar will be the superman on this trip, carrying the stroller, luggage and the big bagpack (the hiking kind)! Hah!
And I just realised like a few days ago we will be in Tokyo the same weekend the Suzuka circuit is in action. Aiyoh. That explains why so many hotels are fully booked the days we are there. Sigh.

Hello Kitty Land, here we come!
Okay, this was kinda of last last last minute. But we just decided on Tuesday that we would be taking our first trip as a family to Tokyo next week for 8 days.
Erm, we've only booked the air tickets so far. Still am looking at which hotels to stay in. By hotels I mean one at Tokyo area and one at Disneyland resort. Hah. Yes, Tokyo coz there's a disneyland there!
Erm, it's actually quite the HOT season to go tokyo now, as there are actually no rooms available at some of the hotels we are looking at. Hmmmm. I am worried that it would have to be either the super cheap ones or the super high class ones that we would have to settle for. Sigh.
Oh, and I just realised that one of us has to lug around luggages and the other has to carry/push Kae when we transit from the Tokyo hotel to the Disneyland hotel. Alamak.
Tokyo is freaking expensive! Argh.
Okay, my head is bursting with information right now. I better try to sleep now. Julia Gabriel's later on. And I am now scribbling rubbish.

a Long & Lazy weekend
We didn't plan much for the long weekend that was just over. So, as usual, we were at a loss of where to go.
Saturday was kinda of a no brainer for us. Kae had her neuro tree class at 2pm. After which we went home for her to take her nap. As we headed off to Bedok Reservoir for dinner at Ryan & Li-Anne's. This was actually for dar's ODAC reunion. Coz baby Tiffany is back for a week! Hee. Yes, she was actually the main draw of the night. Tiffany born on Valentine's Day! How appropiate! I lurve to go to the Leongs', as their place is super duper baby friendly! Of course, that means loads of toys and gadgets to keep Kae entertained, as well as company in Terelle and Thane! Heehee!
We didn't plan for Sunday. So we decided to go to East Coast Park to cycle! Kae's 1st cycling trip. Of course, she has to sit with daddy, coz she still is not ready to ride a tricycle by herself. And daddy has to excerise for a full 1 hour, as mummy dearest doesn't know how to! Hah!
We decided to pop by Jones the Grocer for much needed perk me up, aka coffee. Why all the way to Demspey? Hmm. I am not sure why too. Hah. And then we drove all the way to raffles city shopping centre for dinner. Hmm. Coz we were undecided about where to dine. Yes, we have issues about deciding where to dine in boring Singapore. Bleah!
And we spent most of Monday at home. We brought Kae down to swim for like 10 minutes. Why? Coz this stupid boy had to go and puke in the pool (my dar saw him puking). What exactly was he puking in the pool, I was not interested. I just wanted to pull Kae out as soon as possible. How disgusting can one get? Eeewks.
Anyhow, we went over to Ikea at night and we bought Kae the Mala easel and Mammut pink chair to cultivate her artistic nature. Hah! More so as Kae was quite intrigued with this "toy" at the Leongs', so we decided to buy her one too :)
And that's how the Yeos spent our long weekend. And now, we are looking forward to another super duper long weekend! Heehee! Stay tuned!

4 Firsts
I've had 4 firsts today.
Today is the 1st day of school for Kae! Her second term at Julia Gabriel to be exact :)
Today, I had my 1st attempt at eyebrow waxing, at Benefit Brow Bar. Quite good actually!
Today, I cut my hair for the 1st time at Identity Hairworks. And my fringe is super short now! The shortest I've had in my life!
And we bought our 1st digital SLR today. The Canon EOS 500D. Nice pictures to come hopefully!

an afternoon at The Central
I met up with the gals for lunch at Santouka.
I have no idea when this ramen craze started, but it seems like all of us love to eat ramen. Hah. It's kinda funny how such a seemingly simple dish can capture the hearts (or guts) of all of us.
Of course we have to end the afternoon meet up with coffee at where else but TCC. The TCC outlet at The Central is actually quite swanky looking, with a cozy ambience at the same time. Nice place to chill and relax on a sunday.
Oh yah, off track a bit, I need to do something to my flat yucky looking hair!

day before 9/11
We went for dinner at Seafood International Market and Restaurant located at Playground @ Big Splash for my mum's 55th birthday dinner.
We were kinda disappointed with the food, as the food was way much better when we went there for dinner 1-2 months back. Think because we paid more than too. Hah. Anyway, not that the food suck, just that it's kinda hard to beat the standard of food we had there the 1st time round :) This is still a place I will go to for food, once in a while.

Happy 20th Month day Kaelyn!
And Kae turns 20 months old today. Hah! I think usually when a baby/toddler is under the age of 2 years, people generally recall their age in months. So, Kae has 4 more months to go before we revert to yearly tradition of celebrating how fast she is growing in age :)
This is my princess in her newest outfit which just arrived today, her pretty Pettiskirt and Pettitop from Princess Ratbag Australia. Mummy bought this from the sole distributor in Singapore, Pupsik Studio. Ain't it pretty? I would love to have 1 myself :P

RE Potty Training
This is the closest I've got Kae to use the Baby Bjorn potty chair, with her pants on!
She's been playing with the potty chair as if it were a toy. Argh!

& Junyu turns 1 month old
We attended little Junyu's 1st month bash on sunday evening.
The little fighter looks more like the mummy. He didn't cry or whine the whole time we were there. So well-behaved! Hah! I tried to carry him, and felt so weird carrying a baby all over again. Nope, I will only have the 2nd kid earliest in year 2011. Hah!
We are now in the phase of our lives whereby we are attending more and more baby showers and kids' parties. Kids are everywhere. Gone are the days when we would go drinking to celebrate birthdays, celebrate impending unions of friends, and just gather to drink to catch up with one another.

Potty Training!
I've been thinking of starting potty training for Kae for the longest time. But till now, I've not even come close to starting on this.
But now, I've got to. Because I've just bought Kae her new potty chair! Yay! We bought her the Baby Bjorn Potty Chair.
"With its high back support and comfortable armrests, the Baby Bjorn Potty Chair is a comfy “armchair” for your child and a good place to start a life without diapers. Its ergonomic design offers lots of legroom. The inner potty has a high splashguard and is easy to remove, empty and clean. The Baby Bjorn Potty Chair has soft shapes, because sitting on the potty should be a comfortable experience." Well, I certainly hope so, since we've paid a sum of money for this pretty little thing. Oh, we bought it just today during the Baby Fair at Takashimaya. 15% discount!
We initially decided on buying the Safety 1st's Comfy Cushy™ 3-in-1 Potty. It is a 3-in-1 design which features the potty, trainer seat, and step stool. Most importantly, it comes with a soft cushioned seat. But when we took the potty to try, it is actually very very flimsy, as there are like 3-4 individual parts to the potty, which doesn't stay rigidly together. So, dar agreed with my obsession with the Baby Bjorn potty chair. Hah!
I am not looking forward to the potty training at all. Well, read more in the posts to come (I hope)!

Craving at 2am
As you all know, the three of us have been sick this past week, these past 6 days. I can't wait to get out of my estate and breathe in some fresh air. Being grounded is not fun. Hah. I was washing Kae's clothes today and realised that there ain't much to wash as she hasn't been out this whole week!
And now I am craving for food food food! Argh. Days of plain porridge with salted egg, or mee sua with soy sauce are just plain torture. Plus the fact that I cannot take any coffee! That nearly killed me! Hah. And now I am thinking of the Fatty Weng food I had at Ion last Sunday just before Kae got sick. Sigh. Hungry! Not that they are super nice, just that I am super starved for "tasty" food!

& I finally surrendered
I finally surrendered to the viral infection that was plaguing my Kae on sunday night and my dar on monday night. I threw in the towel and declared myself sick on wednesday night.
I puked lots and the diarrhoea was ewwwwwwwww. But it could have been worse. I could have caught the infection when both Kae and my dar did, and that would have been hell, coz I don't think I can care for then when I am that sick.
Luckily for me, dar was feeling slightly better, and while I rested and slept peacefully in another room wednesday night, he offered to look after Kae the whole night till he wakes to go to work. Whew! Thanks dar!
I am now feeling slightly better. I think this is the 1st time the 3 of us feel so sick as a family. Hah. Now I am just waiting for Kae to recover soonest. Sigh. She's still a bit weak, and still having diarrhoea.
Curse you bloody infection! Be gone for good!

The 3rd night
I am praying and wishing and hoping that Kae will not puke anymore after tonight. This is the 3rd night she's sick and I am keeping vigil by her side myself 2nd night in a row. Dar has been sleeping in the next room as he is also sick and needs his rest to go back to work tomorrow from his medical leave.
It all started on Sunday night when Kae puked in her sleep. You can only imagine how freaked out we were. That night was really crazy as we had to pacify her, clean up her mess, and try to make her sleep. I never knew a toddler can puke out more in terms of quantity compared to that of an adult. It was that scary.
We brought her to the pediatrician Monday morning; dar took the morning off. She informed us that Kae most probably got the bug from the mil on Thursday when we went back for our weekly dinner; we only knew the mil vomitted and had diarrhoea that few days when we went back for a short while on Sunday evening. Apparantly, Kae's 2 cousins also fell sick but theirs is less serious as they did not vomit. It could have been caught from anyone really.
I would think that this is Kae's most serious sickness ever. She don't have any appetite at all. She doesn't want to take her medication; she puked when we tried to force her to take the diarrhoea medication with a syringe. She is still puking and having diarrhoea the 2nd day. Sigh.
And it doesn't help that dar also fell sick on monday night. Father and daughter always seem to fall sick together, which makes my already tough time taking care of 1 sick toddler even worse. But dar has been doing his best to help out with Kae even though he's sick.
And now here i am, into my 3rd night of caring for a sick toddler. I am praying she will get well really soon, even if it means sleepless nights for me. You can't imagine how hard it is to watch your baby puke and not able to help stop her suffering.
Oh, and moral of the story, don't come near Kae when you are sick, ever.
Typed on the iPhone. My eyes are going crazy now.
