I have been feeling on the edge recently. Every little thing seems to get on my nerves.
Maybe it's because I'm feeling more tired and breathless nowadays. My tummy is getting bigger. And no thanks to the CNY goodies (which are still plentiful in my house), I gained 2 kg in 3 weeks. Fwah! So my total weight gain in my 22 weeks of pregnancy is now 4.5kg. Fat cow! Sigh.
I'm also feeling damn bored right now. There is nothing meaningful to do right now. My daily schedule is such: I wake at 7am to get Kae ready for school. Head back to dreamland after I send dar and Kae out of the door. Heehee. I try to wake by 11am now. I cook my lunch, log on to the internet, watch a bit of tv and wash clothes. By 1pm I would be bored. Then I will laze around till 4 plus before I get out of the house to pick up Kae. Afterwhich, we will take a bus down to either: the CPF building to wait for dar, to Suntec city/Marina square/Robinson city to hang. It is all very tiring until dar comes along. As Kae wants me to carry her from the moment I pick her up, to when the daddy comes to meet us. Can you imagine me carrying Kae all the way from school, to taking a bus, to walking to wherever I am going?
As if that isn't tiring enough, there are almost no kind souls on the buses I take with Kae. I am utterly dissapointed with Singaporeans. Not only do they not offer seats to the preggy mummy carrying a heavy toddler, they can even cut queue when going up the bus. And guess what, people who offer me their seats in buses are actually mostly foreigners, i.e. china women and foreign labourers. Hah. I wonder what our education system has turned the majority of us into. Working class educated singaporeans can't even compare to foreign labour workers.
I am so craving for Gelare's honey malt crunch ice cream now. Slurp!

CNY 2010 Day 4
Dar took one day leave on day 4, so we took the opportunity to have a couple's day together while Kae headed back to school.
We headed back to the Riders Cafe for breakfast. This was our 2nd time there. The place was quite packed for a weekday; luckily we were there at around 9am. By the time it was 930am, there was a queue formed.
I lurve the food at this place. Unpretentious and reasonably priced. You have got to try the pancakes if you ever eat at Riders. Fluffy blueberry pancakes with freshly made cranberry jam. Yum!
After a yummy breakfast, we headed towards Resorts World to have a look. We thought it would be easier to venture into new territory without Kae. There was nothing much to see really. I reckon that the whole place would only be worth visiting when Universal Studio opens, and if one intend to gamble at the casino there.
After walking around RW and Vivocity, we picked Kae up from school, and headed home for her 1st swimming session since Sep 2009. Hah! She lurves the water, especially when her pink ball is floating with her. And we just realised that her swimsuit is a tad too small and tight for her. Hah!

CNY 2010 Day 3 aka Dar's Bd
We made just 1 house visit on Day 3 to a friend's new place. Kae sure had a whale of a time playing with all the older kids there!
It was also dar's birthday. We've decided not to get a cake to celebrate at his friend's place as it was a bit pai seh. Heh. But alas, a girl friend called me and asked if I wanted to get a cake for dar as a surprise. So dar did have a surprise cake in the end! Heehee. Thanks Huimin!
We went to have a simple dinner at Sun with Moon to continue with dar's birthday celebration. Oh yes, I simply have to rave about their scallop appetitizer! I lurve lurve this dish!

CNY 2010 Day 2
Day 2 was less hectic. We made just 2 stops.
1st stop was to Holland Hill Park. Dar's uncle just moved to the apartment there, so we went to have a look. I thought the whole place was quite nicely done up; the renovation should have cost a bomb. Heh.
Next stop as usual, was to my 3rd auntie's house. They usually open their house for visiting on the 2nd day of CNY. And of course, we were all there for the Lion Dance. Kae was not receptive this year; she cried! Haha! Think she was perhaps scared by the loud noise. She was not at all intimidated last year actually. She even cried when we wanted to take a pic with Cai Shen Ye.
And the highlight of the day was of course the kids. Kaelyn, Kayla and the only boy Issac. It's quite fun to see how kids of around the same age interact.
And Kaelyn took her first shot at Wii! Heh. Definitely will be one of her presents in the near future :)

CNY 2010 Day 1
This is the busiest CNY we've had.
We haven't been to dar's relatives' for house visiting for the last 3 years due to 2 deaths and Kae's birth. So compared to the last 3 years, this year is hectic for me. Hah.
I had to wake at 7am just to get ready. To pack all the stuff, to wake Kae up, to get Kae ready, to get ourselves ready, we left the house slightly past 9am. Our itinary for Day 1 was to Bendemeer, Zion Road, Bukit Merah, Telok Blangah, Bukit Merah, St.Georges's, Bishan and lastly to Canberra. I was really tired out at the end of day 1. Luckily, we managed to catch a short nap at Bishan. Hah.
We only took a few photos on Day 1, as usual. Too tired out.
Oh, and these pics were taken with my cousin's camera. Heehee. Cute eh?
Kae looks damn "drunk" in this pic. Hah!

Kae lurves to sing!
Kae started singing long ago, but she just really started singing these few weeks, namely after attending school. She lurves the Barney song, the birthday song and recently, the twinkle song. Hah!
This is Kae singing the alphabet song along with music in the background.
And this is Kae singing her favourite song of the momemt: the birthday song!
Lastly, this is Kae singing the twinkle song at Borders!

& Dar's life is charmed with females
It's official, Kae will be having a baby sister!
I am thrilled honestly speaking. After seeing how small boys behave, I am thankful that Kae is not one, however naughty she already is, she can't compare to the male counterpart. But having said that, I know that everyone would prefer to have 1 of each. It's the way everyone ask the century old question: So it's a boy this time round? How direct is that? Tell that to dar's nephew who asked me this question not once but twice after he knew I was expecting. When I asked him who gave him that impression, guess what his answer was. I suspect all the older folks would be in the male preference zone. Come to think of it, I am the only one I know in my and dar's groups of friends with 2 girls! The rest all have 1 of each or 2 boys. Anyhow, I am happy with any gender, as long as the baby is healthy and happy. Who cares what people think. Bleah!
I am secretly hoping that this baby will look more like me this time round. As everyone can tell, Kae is an exact photocopy of dar. Not that I am complaining, Kae is really pretty! Okay, I am being biased here, but hey, every parent think their child is the best looking kid on the block right? I suspect I will be fairly disappointed if the baby turns out to be another dar lookalike. Haha!
And now, I have every reason and 1 more excuse to buy Kae more clothes, shoes, toys, etc. Because she can pass everything down to her baby sister! Yipee!
