What's in a Name?

I just realised today that there are 3 other younger babies (of friends' from facebook) with the same pronounciation as Kaelyn, though spelt differently.

We actually spent a long time deciding on Kae's name. And before we used Kaelyn, I do not know of ANYONE who has the same name. Seriously! And suddenly, Kaelyn's name is more common than Mary or Jane. I do feel pissed.

Sorry, no offence meant folks. I am just puzzled at why certain names are more frequently used during certain times. Argh!

I need a more unique name for the 2nd baby!

  1. actually i've seen a lot of variations or similar sounding names - caitlin, katelyn, caylin and then the boys kayden and cayden. :( one of those things la. like joanne's super popular in our generation - there was a time we had 3 joannes in the same company. and i think claire is quite common now too. so's names like natalie, nathan... etc. i also don't know why. the old school names are not as popular tho - jeremy, nicholas, lilian, melissa... :P
