Kae's 1st day at St James

Okay, long story short. We've put Kae on the waiting list for St James Church Kindergarten in the hope of securing her a spot when she turns 5. We were 99th on the waiting list when we registered in June 2011. So, imagine our surprise when we received an email informing us there's a spot for Kae in Nursery 2 in 2012.

It's a struggle for me to come to a decision. It impacts me more I supposed. As Kae would only be in school for 3 hours daily as opposed to her 12 hours daily at Little Skool House. As much as I love LSH and their teachers for educating Kae the past 2 full years, I thought it was time for Kae to change school. That being said, Kerri will still be attending LSH like Kae when she turns 2 and till end of Nursery 1.

We love St James for their surroundings. Kae is in the Harding Road branch, and they are exposed to nature all around. And the way they allow the children to have a say in the projects they do during the term sold the school to me almost immediately.

Kae was all excited about her first day in school. We actually brought her down to view the premises to sell the whole new school great place to her. And like us, she loved the school immediately. I think it was the fact that they have 2 big playgrounds, a sand play area and a small swimming pool which won Kae over.

So off we go, to her next phase in life. Hah. Sounds so serious. She was quite okay. She didn't cry or sulk or whine. Okay, maybe at the end when we were dismissed, she seems a little grouchy. But that may be because she was hungry. Hah!
