Look at the lines around my eyes! Argh! I am really getting old! Any magic eye cream to recommend?

La Petite Cuisine

After having lived here for 1 and 1/2 ears, we finally took the time to have dinner at La Petite Cuisine, located at Serene Centre, which is within 5-10 minutes walk away from our place.

I was quite surprised they served us bread and butter before the dishes came along. I thought this was a no frills bistro. And the bread were served warm!

My main reason for eating here is to try their foie gras. I used to love to head to Tea Cosy for my foie gras fix, but their portion has shrunk in size recently. And I am glad I came to La Petite! Their foie gras is priced cheaper, and it taste great!

Their aglio mushroom spaghetti was not fantastic. It taste like chinese hokkien mee, as my dar described the dish.

Their beef dish was very small, but the taste is not too bad. I would definitely order this again. And the side of mashed potatoes was a great supplement!

I didn't care much for their caramel pudding though. Not having this again!

2nd Chicken Stew of the week

I felt brave enough to venture into the kitchen to cook another new dish this week, twice that is. Yup, I tried the chicken stew recipe from noobcook.com and cooked this twice in 3 days! I love cooking one dish meals! Heh!

Elly - for the Boys

I've been Elly store and I simply love the dresses for the girls. I bought the girls their 2 cheongsams for CNY last week, but this post is more for the boys.

I always think boys clothes are super boring, and mummies with boys are so lucky they need not spend too much money on the monotonous clothes in the market. Until I saw what Elly has in the store. Look at all the cute prints! So cute that I had to ask my friend who has a boy to take a look at their collection! Hah! And yes, my factory is closed.

Beef Stew - 1st Attempt

Sick of all the usual food I cook for the family to eat, I decided to venture into new territory, beef stew! I got the recipe from noobcook.com. What I love about this website is that the measurements are all clearly indicated, and some even come with pictures of how each step of cooking looks like. Also, tips and observations are provided by the writer too.

2nd Dental Visit

Kae dropped her 1st tooth recently, and so I brought her to Toofdoctor for her 2nd dental visit.  And here she was, all happy before heading in.

My girl was very brave during the whole examination. Yup, the dentist declared her teeth alright and healthy and need not require any cleaning nor polishing! Apparently, her teeth are just starting to drop and we can expect more tooth dropping this whole year, and await the adult teeth to sprout up. Yikes! My girl is growing up too fast!

2nd Haircut at Two Step

Kae finally relented and agreed to go to the salon for her 3rd salon haircut. And her haircut cost more than the dad's! Hah!

Kerri refused to have her hair cut that day, so we cam whored!

2 weddings in a day

Today was a day of a weddings.

First stop, we atttended Mengwei and Jing Jing's wedding lunch held at W Singapore. This was our first time stepping onto W Singapore, it was newly opened late last year.

And we took a few photos outside the ballroom at the lounge area.

And I love the interior of the ballroom. The ballroom is spacious, and the main color of the ballroom is black! Very Victorian chic.

And like most other weddings now, friends and relatives were encouraged to post photos on Instagram and tag the photos taken for the wedding. Great way to other friends and relatives to see the photos taken on the big day.

Clarice was quite nervous as she was the emcee for the event. She did good by the way!

And presenting the bride and the groom! They both look so good together!

Miki was so cute that day at the lunch. 

She kept showing me all the things she brought along that day, and kept dressing me and Clarice up with her jewelry.

And here's us, 17 years of friendship, 17 years ago at VJC.

And now for the second wedding of the day. Aaron and Meijun's wedding dinner held at Traders Hotel. It seemed that 19th February is an auspicious day for weddings. There were like 4-5 wedding dinners held at Traders Hotel that night! 

I didn't manage to take much photos from the night. Kate was my main attraction for the night though. She is just too cute!

The groom wanted to get drunk that night, but apparently, he didn't manage to even though he drank lots all at one shot.
