Kayla's 5th Birthday Party

We started the year 2013 with a bang at Kayla's 5th Birthday party.

It was a beautifully executed Hawaiian themed party held at Keppel Club. You can expect nothing short of awesome when mummy Penna plans a party for her 2 lucky daughters.

It so happened that both Kae and Kerri are BFFs with Kayla and Ashlyn, and both sets of sisters were and are in the same class at LSH when they (Kae and Kayla) were there. Kerri and Ashlyn are still classmates for the 2nd year running.

And look at the straw skirts kindly sponsored and given by the hostess!

The girls immediately got down to create their craft work once we reached the party. Beautiful materials were provided and the girls got to make their own necklaces, bracelets and photo frames, which they got to bring home at the end!

After the DIY session, it was time for a magic show by Mr Egg. Mr Egg proved to be very popular with the kids. Even Kerri, who was scared initially and refused to join in, got melted in the end and joined the other kids on the mat and participated in the show. Highly recommended for entertainment at kids' parties. You may refer to the website here for more details on hiring Mr Egg.

After the magic show, it was time for every kid to have their own personalized balloon. The kids would tell Mr Egg what balloon they want and he will try to conjure the ballon of their choice.

And then it was time for the cake cutting session! As with last year, the main birthday cake was lovingly baked by the hostess. And there were also cupcakes from Twelve Cupcakes for the kids to munch on.

Mr Egg attempted to bring the kids together for a group photo, but I don't think all the kids were in these photos.

There were still 2 games after the photo taking, treasure hunt and hitting of the pinata.

And here are the 6 girls, 5 Ks (Kaelyn, Kerri, Kayla, Kayenne, Kadance) and 1 A (Ashlyn).

  1. Superb! I can’t express how happy I got after seeing this post. The kids are adorable and I finally found a theme for my niece’s birthday party. We have shortlisted some of the Chicago venues and I am responsible for the decoration that day. Oh! everybody is going to love it.
