Bali 2013 Day 1 Part 2

After checking in and exploring the villa, we decided to walk around the neighborhood before the girls settle down for their afternoon nap. Warning for families with young walking kids, the roads are not like those in Kuta, where there are walking pavemnets. There are no walking pavements at Seminyak area at all! We have to walk along the side of the 2 lane roads. We carried Kerri, but it was quite difficult and dangerous to walk along with Kaelyn. So, after about 10 minutes, we decided to just find a place to sit for lunch. Most places are closed on a saturday afternoon (????!!!!) and we finally found a decent place where we can dine.

The Deck is a bar and casual dining area just next to Potato Head. It reminds me somewhat of Cove Stadium.

Our first beer in Bali!

As usual, we ordered pasta for the girls. bolognese for Kae and carbonara for Kerri. And perhaps Kerri was hungry, but she ate a great deal of her pasta.

I had their mee goreng and dar ordered their nasi goreng. Erm, the food tasted more fusion than authentic indonesian to me.

After an average tasting lunch, we headed back to W for a much needed afternoon nap.

And we managed to squeeze in a swim after the nap and right before dinner time. Little did I know that this was our first and only swim in our own private pool.

Dinner reservations were made with the help of the hotel staff. And tonight's dinner was to be at Potato Head Beach Club. Most people head to Potato Beach Club in the day as there is a pool for people to enjoy a dip in while having drinks and food at the poolside. But since we are staying in a villa with a pool and a fabulous main swimming pool area, we decided a dinner at Potato Beach Club would suffice.

Of course we have to have a beer.

Pasta for Kae again.

I had a fusion salad, comprising of poaches pear pieces, feta cheese and some other stuff. Quite yummy! Except I can't seem to finish all the cheese!

Another appetizer was some beef cum prawns thingy. Quite yummy actually!

And dar had his usual burger.

All in all, their food was quite decent, in terms of price and quality. And it will be the "cheapest" of the 3 dinner places we head to in Bali. More of the other 2 dining places to come in the upcoming posts.
