Tiddler and other Tales

And we are coming to the end of Term 2!  Before that, I brought Kae to watch Tiddler and other Terrific Tales today at the DBS Arts Centre. She was super excited.

I like the show very much! I thought it was highly entertaining, and kept the children on their feet as there were a total of 4 tales to be told. Too bad we had to leave like 5 minutes before the show as Kae was urgent and needed the loo.

And guess who was seated just next to us?

The show runs from 29th May to 2nd June at the DBS Arts Centre.

The Budding Artist

One fine day, Kae came up to me with a drawing she did of one of her favorite characters.

Isn't she amazing?

Cove Stadium at Quayside Isle

Quayside Isle is proving to be very popular nowadays. Our favorite restaurants Brussels Sprouts and Kith Cafe are usually crowded now, and today, we decided to try the food at Cove Stadium.

Look at the cool high chair for the toddlers.

We just wanted some some bites, so we had a beer and mini burgers to share. The food was quite decent, though the price tag wasn't too cheap.

Please do take note though, as Quayside Isle and W Singapore share the same carpark, and more wedding dinners are now being held at W Singapore over the weekends, usually we have to park at the adjacent Sentosa Cove carpark instead.

Runs in week 8

1st jog in week 8: 8.94km in 60 minutes, and finishing 9.41km in 65 minutes cooling down.

2nd jog in week 8: 9.32km in 60 minutes, and finishing 9.79km in 65 minutes cooling down. A significant improvement!

3rd jog in week 8: 5km in 33.01minutes, and finishing 5.48km in 38.05minutes cooling down. I was too tired to jog the full 60 minutes this time round after the wedding lunch, so I opted for a short jog instead.

Wedding Lunch at Ban Heng

Dar's brother had his traditional customary wedding today, and it ended with a luncheon at Ban Heng.

Me and the girls missed the ceremony in the morning as I've to settle their meals before we head off for the lunch. Kae was all to excited about signing the guest book.

It was tough to get them to sit for nearly 2 hours for a meal. The only thing which could keep them still were the phones of course. Luckily for me, I don't foresee much weddings to attend this year.

Amaze at Safra Jurong and Bangkok Jam

Today is my first time at last time heading to Kids Amaze at Safra Jurong, unless of course, if the girls are invited to any parties there again. Which was why we headed there in the first place today. It's too far away!

I was so relieved that Kerri didn't want to go through the 5 or 6 storey playground after just one try. Why? Because I had such a backache just following her after 1 round. The playground was not made and designed for accompanying parents at all. All adults had to hunch down and walk like an old lady or old man. And there is only 1 exit and entrance. One have to go down and climb back up to the top to head back to the party room. And heading back up the 5-6 storey play area with hordes of screaming children is no joke. Never again.

~~~~~
Dinner was at Bangkok Jam located at Great World City. We bumped into my cousins once at Great World and they mentioned that the food at Bangkok Jam was quite good, and so we decided to give tha place a try. Usually we eat at the food court when at Great World.
We ordered their Stir-fried egg noodle with bacon and crabmeat for the girls. And Kae loved the noodles. I did too!
For us, we had their Deep-fried Spring rolls and Vietnamese Dip to share. Maybe it was because they were served piping hot from the stove, the spring rolls were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Yums!
And while dar had the Seafood and Stick Noodles in clear Tom Yum soup, I opted for just the seafood in Red Tom Yum. The red Tom Yum was clearly a better choice, as it was spicier. Heh.
