Chui Huay Lim Teochew Cuisine

We brought the in-laws out for dinner at Chui Huay Lim Teochew Cuisine today for a birthday and post mother's day celebration.

We were served some ginseng tea before and after the meal.

And as usual, we ordered a plate of noodles specially for the girls. Was yummy!

1st dish of the night was the Shark's Fin soup with crab meat and conpoy. Not starchy at all!

2nd dish was the de shelled king prawns fried teochew style with szechuan peppercorn. The prawns were really fresh.

A dish which I always end up eating the most of (just the spinach and mushrooms, not the abalone) because the present company always don't take the mushrooms and vegetables, braised whole abalone with spinach and winter mushroom.

And the black pepper chilli crab was superb!

I finished all the grains of the XO seafood fried rice, even though I was trying to eat less carbo.

And my favorite dessert, sweet yam paste with pumpkin and gingko nut. Not too sweet and not too bland. Just nice.

I love the food here!
