Kitties from Hong Kong

My friend W offered to help buy the Hello Kitties from the Fairy Tales Collection which was launched in Hong Kong in July. Sadly, a few were sold out. But on a happy note, Kae and Kerri get to be the first in Singapore to own 3 of the kitties, namely Red Riding Hood, the Lion from the Wizard of Oz, and the Ugly Duckling.

You can refer to this website for more information.

I wonder when this collection will be launched in Singapore. The last Kitty collection was launched like 9 months later than Hong Kong!

ET Artisan Sweets

I had been toying with the idea of getting macarons for the teachers this year, as I'm sure they must be really sick of cupcakes right now. And when I googled, ET Artisan Sweets came up.

I've heard of them before, and since they are located near my place, I decided to bring Kae along to try their macarons.

The sweet smell of the bakes fill the shop, and you can immediately sniff it out when you step into the shop.

Look at how happy Kae was with her cupcake.

This is a close up shot of the Rocky Mountain cupcake.

And the 3 macarons I tried, namely the salted caramel (which almost every shop is selling), yuzu, and marsh mellow dark chocolate.

Just FYI, ET Artisan Sweets will be moving to Turf City from October onwards. So do take note if you are heading there then!

Party at Picotin

And it's time to party!

We were invited to a birthday party at Picotin. Even though we stay so near, this was our first time to the eatery.

Kids are just so fortunate nowadays. Back in our old days, we were just happy with a birthday cake and presents. Now, the kids get extra in the form of a big nice party venue, party favors, mascots, balloons, body paining, and the list goes on.

Case in point, balloons.

Though Kae had to wait patiently for her balloons to be blown.

Long long week

I haven't been out much this week, as my eye is still swollen. Yup, it's been 10 days since this stupid stye appeared, and it's still not healing! Argh!

I miss my hot yoga!

I never thought I would say this, but I miss wearing my contact lenses too!

Boohoo!

Gardens by the Bay

This was our 2nd attempt but 1st visit to Gardens by the Bay. Why so? We actually went at 5ish yesterday, but the queue to the carpark was so freaking long that we decided to give up and head back the next day.

Having learnt our lesson, we arrived just before 11am the next day and thankfully the queue to the carpark was quite alright. We waited for less than 10 minutes before getting into the carpark.

We were not quite sure where to go, but seeing there was a long queue at the ticketing counters, we headed off to stroll a while and have an early lunch to beat the crowd.

After lunch at Canele, which is located at Supertree Dining ( a cluster of restaurants housed together), we headed to the ticketing counters and got our tickets to the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome.

First stop, the Cloud Forest. I was expecting the place to be real cool after reading that it may be best to bring along jackets for the kiddos. Maybe it was the outside temperature of the day or simply the huge crowd of people visiting, the forest was just cool, but not cold enough for the girls to scream for their outerwear.

After the Cloud Forest, we stopped and took a break. Kerri had to take her afternoon milk feed anyway. Which somehow translates to the girls posing with daddy's sunglasses.

After a short break, we continued to the Flower Dome. The girls were just excited they get to roam around again.

There are many different types of cactuses there. All very interesting looking!

My favorite is the lavender. You can actually smell the flowers!

Pollen, a fine dining restaurant, is housed within the Flower Dome. The place was booked for an event the day we were there.

The lovely flower field.

After 3 hours of roaming the whole place, it was time to head home. I think the girls loved it there. We'll be back to see the Supertrees at night the next time!

It is best to plan your itinerary before you head to Gardens by the Bay. The whole place is huge, and the crowd there is still mind boggling.

Twice in 3 days!

We headed to Tiong Bahru Bakery at Raffles City shopping centre again!

This time round, it was the 4 of us having coffee after dinner. As usual, we ordered the chocolate cupcake for Kae. For us, dar chose the croissant with almonds.

A must order! It's just simply divine!
