M-Park at Club Street

We went for foot massage at Kenko today. As Chingay was today, we avoided our usual branch at Marina Square, and went to the main branch at South Bridge Road instead.

There, we wanted to park at the open air carpark actually. And that was when we discovered that the open air carpark is now transformed into a machine operated carpark, like what you would find in Tokyo! It's the M-Park at Club Street.

Are we mountain turtles or what. We reversed the car when the entry barrier did not rise; we thought the barrier was spolit. It turned out that we had to wait for the car lift to lower itself to the ground level 1st before the barrier can be lifted. Then we parked the car into the "cubicle". After which we need to key in a 4 digit password, and the car was whisked off to be parked!

There was a waiting room for people to wait to collect their car. Well, I guess during peak hours, the waiting room is a must. There are only 3 "cubicles" for the cars to be loaded and unloaded. In a place like Shenton Way where the monthly carpark fees are so high, maybe all buildings should have such a parking system. Heh. Of course, if the machine breaks down, that is another story altogether!
