We went to PS Cafe at Harding Road for Sunday brunch on sunday (duh). Heard so much about the place being overbooked, crowded, that we decided to have a try to see if the food was really worth waiting for. As they do not accept reservations for Sunday brunch, we went ahead, expecting to wait.
True to expectations, the place was crowded. We reached at around 145pm, and were seated at around 205-210pm? If you wanna go there and do not want to wait, maybe you should attempt to reach early like 10am! Or reach there late like 2pm. By the time we were seated, quite a few tables were empty.
The place was filled with expats. Only like 2 in 10 people were asians. As with all other brunch places, PS Cafe was filled with chatter and noise. Thats to be expected. We went ahead and ordered what we want. It seems that dar made a better (and safe) choice. He ordered the PS. BRUNCH BURGER: HOMEMADE GRILLED WAGYU & US CHUCK PATTY TOPPED WITH CAMAMBERT CHEESE, WILTED SPINACH, CRISPY BACON, TOMATO, CARAMELIZED ONION, HERBY MAYO & FRIED EGG ON A TOASTED SESAME BUN WITH PS. FRIES & AIOLI. It was good!
Whilst I ordered what I thought would be a nice dish PORTOBELLO STACK: POACHED EGGS STACKED WITH ROASTED PORTOBELLO MUSHROOMS, GRILLED BACON, WILTED SPINACH & CREAMY SMOKED CHEDDAR POTATO GRATIN. I was so wrong! This really is not nice, especially the potato gratin part. Wrong choice!
What I love about the brunch was their BANANA MANGO CRUMBLE. This is to die for! The crumble was just nice, not too sweet, and the filling inside was overflowing with banana and mango goodness! You HAVE to order this if you ever eat at PS Cafe!
