Lucky Tuesday

I met up with dar for a last minute lunch date, and we managed to snag seats at Koh Grill & Sushi Bar. But as always, be prepared to wait for a minimum of 20 minutes for your food. Food is good as always!

And we were walking to Takashimaya Golf Section when we saw a long long queue outside Ferragamo. Yes, finally their sale is on! But I did not receive their mailer this time round. Hmmm. But as the queue was too long (as expected), I decided to forgo the sale and went on for my eyebrow appointment at Shu Umera. After I was done, I decided to head to Isetan and try my luck. As luck would have it, there was no queue, and even though there were quite a lot of people in the store, it was not as crowded as the stores at Takashimaya and Ion (where I passed by afterwards).

And as luck would have it, I was able to snag my favorite peach colored varina flats which I have been eyeing and waiting the sale for, and a pair of sissi wedges. Woohoo! So lucky that I decided to meet dar for lunch in town today!

Another TB buy

Tory Burch was having their President's Day special, where you get a 25% off all items with a minimum spend of USD300. And so I spent.

CNY 2013 Day 1

And it was time to celebrate the year of the Snake! As usual, I had to get up early to prepare for a long day ahead.

And this was the only CNY decor in our house, lovingly made by Kae in her Art enrichment class.

And my usual shot of our footwear!

For the first time in a long while, I wore red for day 1 of CNY! A dress from DKNY, I'm such a fan of their dresses now! All so flattering with a good fit! And the girls were dressed in red too! In their lovely cheongsams from Elly. Love them!

And here's our family shot. Dar was dressed in purple.

And then the girls (including me) got our ang pows from the man of the house. Yay!

Kae was in her modd and didn't want to take any pictures. So these are the few I managed to take with my girls for the day.

After our itinerary of Bishan, Bendemeer, Telok Blangah, Shelford Road, St George's and back to Shelford Road for a nap (for the girls of course), we headed to Canberra for our last stop of the day. Dinner was great! Yes, I love the usual CNY food, heh heh. And the girls were quite well behaved that night. They even sat still and gave their full attention to the piano for a while.

New Shoes

I am always on the lookout for good sales online, and in Tory Burch's case, I got just what I wanted.

It so happened that the few designs that went on sale were just what I needed. Yes, the exact 2 pairs that I loved were on sale! And so I bought. For just $380 including shipping! That's more than 50% savings if I compare the retail price I would have paid in Singapore!

After 3 hours of Glory

After 3 hours of my brand new Glory, this is what happens.

Lucky for me, I had the foresight to bring along my pair of Havaianas!

my 1st Tory

I finally bought my very 1st Tory Burch shoe.

Now that they have an outlet in Singapore, it makes it easier for me to try out the sizes and buy them online. Yes, It's way cheaper to buy them online from their USA website than to buy in Singapore. Way way cheaper.

Tangs sale with Kae

I brought Kae out shopping today. And my greedy girl finished this slice of rich chocolate cake all by herself!

And so I have a 20% voucher from Tangs to spend in my birthday month. What better time to use it than when they are having their Tangs sale with the 12% rebate?

And so I go, and so I spend. I was looking at Dave Fine Jewellery, but the only stud earring which caught my eye costs over $800. Ouch. And so I focused my attention to another brand which caught my eye, Michal Negrin.

Theses are the 2 pairs of earrings I bought. Beieve me, the actual items are very much prettier if placed in front of you.

I've been resisting the urge to buy a pair of Repetto for the longest time. Since it's my birthday month, I gave myself a birthday treat. Heehee!

Last minute Shoe shopping

I am not a compulsive shopper in general. Yes, there are definitely a few pieces that I buy without thinking, or items which I regret buying just within the same day. But usually, unless I really love how the clothes or shoes look on me, I wouldn't buy them.

For those items which are on the borderline of my love meter, I will walk away and ponder for a few days or a week. If I keep thinking about that item, I will return to the shop to make that purchase, praying fervently that the item is still available in the size, or colour of my choice.

So, after pondering for 2 weeks, and plus the fact that CNY is around the corner, I brought Kerri along after her JG class to Takashimaya to purchase my first pair of Pedder Red heels.

Mad Rush

It was a mad rush day for me. After Kerri's last lesson at JG, dar came to pick us up and sent us to Bendemeer where I left Kerri for her rest of the day. And my day of errands started.

I took the time to do my waxing, eyebrow trimming, manicure and pedicure today. All in preparation for Jas's wedding this Saturday. In between, I took some time off to buy me another pair of shoes from Hue to match my yellow bridesmaid dress (also for the wedding) and some stuff from the Tangs cardmembers' sale.

If you read my previous post, I'm into baking now. Well, I have not started yet, but I intend to follow this activity through. So, I bought myself a Bosch hand blender which I can use to whisk, slice, dice and blend.

As with every Tangs sale, I bought another Fred Perry T shirt for dar. I love their material, and how they fit nicely on dar. Plus, the discount is quite good, 30% off plus another 12% rebate.

And since his current pair of working shoes is really torn and tattered, I bought him a new pair from Library.

It had been really a mad rush day with lots of big shopping bags.

my 1st Blackies

I don't own any black shoes. That is until today.

I used to wear black shoes when I was working. But since then, I have been buying light coloured shoes, red shoes, dark green shoes. Not black. So it has been 5 years since my feet saw the colour black.

This is my new pair of blackies, and the closest pair of gladiator shoes I will ever own. My feet is still swollen from the fractured toe accident, and I need to buy new shoes to fit into for a wedding next week.

I am loving it! Though it is still difficult for me to fit my right foot into this pair.
