The night they slept as sisters

We've finally kicked Kerri out from our room! Starting from tonight, the girls will be sharing the room together! We've bought the trundle bed from Piccolo House since Kae's bed was from there. Actually we wanted to stack another bed up on the exiting one to create a bunk bed but alas we bought the wrong bed for Kae! You can see from the picture that the knobs are rounded, as are the knobs which are rooted on the ground. So there is no way we can place another bed on top or at the bottom of another.  Big mistake! So now we have to pull out and push in the trundle bed every evening and every morning.

And we bought the Disney Princess 2-in-1 projector and night light for the girls, to give them something to be excited about when sleeping together in the same room for the 1st time.

I bought the Disney light online from the Philips shop and they provided free delivery too. You can refer to their online shop here.

Kerri's 1st time at Fidgets Island

After the Winx Club show, we headed over to Fidgets Island at Paragon for some fun craft activity. This was Kerri's 1st time at Fidgets Island. And she chose to do the acrylic painting, just like Kae.

As this was Kerri's 1st time, I sneaked back to check on them now and then during the 90 minutes period. Thankfully Kerri behaved herself and was alright just being there with Kae. Yay! This means I can leave them there in the future for more shopping/alone time!

Sanpoutei Ramen

I didn't have time to cook dinner before we left the house for the girls' Berries lessons today, so we head to Holland Village for dinner. Our first taste of Sanpoutei Ramen.

Sanpoutei's speciality is their Niigata Shoyu Ramen. Which I fell in love with. I am never a fan of shoyu flavor; usually I order shio. But their Niigata Shoyu Ramen just won me over. The broth was not typical shoyu tasting. And they served the ramen with aburi chashu, tenderly stewed no less. Easily my second/third favorite ramen shop after Santouka and Ikkousha!

Their Butariki Niigata Rice mini don was pretty great too. The pork, egg yolk and rice just tasted so good mixed together.

We ordered the deep fried spring chicken just for the oroshi yuzu ponzu sauce (which was mixed together with the grated radish placed on top of the chicken). Yes, we are yuzu and ponzu fans. But sadly, this dish was just average.

I reckon we will visit this shop very often in the many Wednesdays to come.

Children Season 2014 at Asian Civilization Museum

I dragged dar along to one of the museum visits for the girls. Yes, to Asian Civilisations Museum on a saturday, one of the participating attractions for the Children's Season 2014.

The most interesting activity of the trip was that we had to fill in the blanks based on the animals painted on the wall. They are the clues to our filling in the blanks quiz. I learnt quite a few things that day. Hah!

Please refer to the link here for more information about the various activities available this Children's Season.

Cool De Sac

We met up with Kae's BFF for a play date today. At none other than the newly opened Cool De Sac located within Suntec City. What I like about this place is that they offer unlimited playtime per admission, so we can stay there the whole day with a one time payment. Also, please note that American Express card members enjoy a 15% discount on admission with the American Express cards till 31st December 2014. Details can be found here.

The girls had the most fun at the Backstage Area, where they queued very patiently for their tattoos and face painting.

This was also the first time I could let BOTH girls run around freely with their friends without having to keep a tight watch. Yes, Kerri doesn't need me to be around her anymore!

And guess who we saw while playing? The adorable Loh sisters!

The only complaint I have about this place is that there are no in house washrooms. So when the girls do need the washrooms, we have to walk right out into the shopping mall, and the washrooms are not exactly near. Other than this, I love the place. Food and beverages are good, served from Bistro Cool (which is part of Cool De Sac) just next door. It can get really crowded though from lunch time, so better head there before 12pm if you are making a trip down. One of the nicer indoor play areas for kids in town. I will definitely bring the girls back for more fun!

Hard Rock Hotel Staycation Day 2 - Storytelling Comes Alive with Playmobil

After water play, we decided to head out for some storytelling before dinner. It was time for Storytelling Comes Alive with Playmobil located at Palawan Beach. Details of the event can be found here.

The girls had lots of fun at the session. The actors were really good at engaging the children into participating with them during the storytelling.

Runs from 31st May till 29th June 2014 at Palawan Beach, 11am-7pm

And then it was off to dinner at Kith Cafe!
