and the Countdown begins

We should be collecting the keys to our new house soon in the next month or so. So we have been going furniture shopping. Erm, kinda. We have only ventured into the shopping centres so far to get a feel of what we would like in the new house.

For the 2 girls, I am thinking of having 2 rooms for them: a bedroom and a playroom. Kae loves to climb up and down the stairs, as do all other kids. So, we should be doing up a bed with steps for her. Something like this bed which we saw at Harvey Norman.

Of course MY ideal choice is the bed from Flexa! But it is super expensive. Just the bed alone without the decorations cost over 3 thousand! Sigh. Something about the quality wood from Germany. But ain't it pretty?

But 1 problem is that the rooms in the new house ain't too big. So we may have to hack the wall down for a bigger space for the 2 girls. Hmmmm.

Of course, we would need a new sound system for the house. And Bose will be having the annual Great Singapore Sale soon!

the DIY Party

We attended Terelle's 6th birthday party today.

Terelle's and Thane's parties are always different from others', as they are all DIYed by their 2 loving parents. Yes. From the theme of the party, to the "accessories" used for the party, as well as the cake, everything is created from love and not bought directly from shops.

This time round, the theme is dragon. And so, an inflatable bouncy dragon became the main entertainment for the kids. Unfortunately, that didn't sit very well with Kae, who didn't even step into the inflatable toy.

And the dragon cake was actually made up of many many cupcakes, placed together to resemble that of a dragon. Nice right?

And the moment the kids were all waiting for, treat time! Yes, even the 2 pinatas were made from scratch by the daddy. How innovative.

Happy birthday Terelle! You are so loved!

Yummy Salad!

I've found another place that sells great salad, Cedele.

I had the most delicious dory fish and prawn salad today at a great price! Yes, the portions at Cedele are well worth what you are paying for. And the food is simply delicious! Yum! I'm definitely going back for more salad!

a new Haunt

Thanks to Mama Jo, I've found a new place where I can go for tasty and yet cheaper foie gras anytime. Tea Cosy!

It's so nice to just relax here with my favorite food and my favorite drink.

A must visit once every month at least!

FLOR Pâtisserie

I finally made the trip down Flor Patisserie today.

We bought the Waguri Millefeuille, Earl Grey Chocolat, Napoleon, and the Vert.

My preferences are in the above order. My fav is the Waguri Millefeuille as it is a combination of pastry and cake. I am a sucker for flaky puff pastry and creamy cakes. And to end it off with sweet chestnut cream, heaven beckons.
