another fav - Kki

This was my second visit to Kki.

I love their cakes so much that I had 2 at a go!

Their Mont Blanc is one of the best in town. With french chestnut paste and a fresh cream centre, it just tastes like heaven.

Their Kinabaru, which is actually coconut mousse with passionfruit centre, is simply refreshing with a twist.

I need to go back soon.

and the Search continues

And off we went to try the coffee at another coffee house.

I knew of Oriole Coffee from a TV program. Owner Keith Loh opened Oriole because he is an avid coffee lover. Spurred on by his passion, Keith came in first at the Singapore National Barista Championships (SNBC) in February 2010 and was second place in 2008. John Ting (SNBC 1st ’09, ’08), is currently manager of coffee operations at Oriole Coffee Roasters. Together, they have created a thoughtful selection of quality coffee beverages, featuring a choice of Oriole’s espresso blend or seasonal single origins.

Oriole is definitely a nice place to have food and coffee with your families and friends, and also to chill at night when the bar is opened. Please do note that coffee will not be served after a certain time, I can't remember if it's 8pm or 9pm though.

a Meaty Affair

We went back to Gyu Kaku for some meat loving. And boy did we order lots!

It's a bit scary to think that the 2 of us finished all that meat, not including other food like prawns, asparagus, and rice! Hah!

the House of Robert Timms

I finally got to try the coffee at the House of Robert Timms.

I'm a coffee lover, so naturally I get all excited when new coffee houses open in Singapore. Especially now that coffee/latte art is catching on. Some houses are famous just for the art drawings in the cup and of course for their great tasting coffee.

And so I went and tried their latte and pavlova.

Their latte certainly didn't disappoint, though I can't say the same for the pavlova. Maybe the sweetness of the meringue cake is just not mfor me, though I love the crispy outer layer of the dessert.

There are currently 2 branches in Singapore the last I heard. One is at Borders Wheelock which I went to, and another is at Orchard Shopping Centre. A definite must go for coffee lovers.

another favorite Haunt

One of my favorite eating place, Canele Patisserie Chocolaterie.

Their Salade Canele, which consists of crab meat, tomato, hard boiled egg, mesclun salad, sunflower and pumpkin seeds with citrus vinaigrette. Yums.

Their Corn and Crab Chowder, a classic combination of corn and crab served in a creamy broth.

And lastly, their Mont Blanc. Simply divine.

A place where I can indulge in my favorite foods.
