Barclays Singapore Open 2012 Day 2
The weather was crappy for golf these few days. We managed only about 30 minutes of walking around the course when play was suspended for the 3rd time. Praying for great weather this sunday!

Societe Canteen
It rained cats and dogs when I was on my way home after lunch. And so I seek refuge at the cafe just at the bus stop where I alight.
Societe Canteen was opened a few months back, and this was my first visit. The place seems to be always empty when I pass by every weekday. And today was no exception since it was raining cats and dogs.
Their latte taste quite special. This may be because they sprinkled some cinnamon powder on top of the foam, I think. Well, at least it tasted like cinnamon to me! Distinct special taste. Worth a second visit!

Nanbantei
Finally, lunch at Nanbantei after what seems like a very long time! With of course my partner in crime, Clarice! We always order the same old food.

Another favorite from the shop, their Ika Maruyaki (grilled cuttlefish). Clarice said she heard the woman sitting next to us gasp when she saw this served to us!
My favorite meat dish, their Lamb Yaki (lamp chop).
Their sweet corn!
And their Garlic Rice is a must try for garlic lovers! Their pungent garlic taste in the rice is not to be taken lightly for non garlic lovers.

ROOM coffee bar
I get to have an hour and 45 minutes of free time every Wednesday.
After having spent my free time at Spinelli the past 6-7 Wednesdays, I decided to switch and had my very first cuppa at ROOM coffee bar this time round.

The coffee is definitely better than that served at Spinelli. Having moved to ARC from Carpenter Street where they used to have a following, the shop was considerably empty when I was there. This comparing to Spinelli which seems to be always packed every single time I head there from 430-615pm. Seriously, no one needs to work?
One little hiccup though. I hate it when coffee places serve the coffee too hot, more so when they serve the hot coffee in a glass without any hand holder.
I like their simple decor of the shop. Clean, white, and with an interesting quote for all. My new hangout for the coming weeks while I wait for Kae to finish her Berries class.

Amazonia
As promised, I brought Kae to Amazonia today to test out the playground. Why? She is going to have her 5th birthday party there!
We promised her a fun 5th birthday as she had been a good girl and kicked her bad habit recently. So as a reward, we let her choose where she wants to have her 5th birthday party at. We actually brought her to the new Polliwogs branch at Robertson Quay and Amazonia for her to choose from, and she chose the later.
Let the fun time begin! Poor me had to go along with her inside the Jungle Play Gym area. My bones were screaming and aching and breaking just after 15 minutes.
For children ages 3 and below, there is a separate Toddler Play area for the younger ones.
Besides these 2 sections of soft play, there are 2 more play areas at Amazonia, namely the 3D Glow Golf (glow in the dar mini golf), and the Space Ball area. You have to pay a separate additional charge to gain access to any of these 2 areas.
I will attempt the other 2 areas another day. For after 15 minutes, all I could think of was to sit and drink my coffee. The fries were ordered for Kae of course.
With all booked and a deposit paid, we will see you in January Amazonia!
