Star Yong Kwang BBQ Seafood

I wanted to bring the hub to try out the sambal dishes at 荣光铁板烧鱼 Rong Guang BBQ Seafood at Alexandra. I had been eating the bbq dishes from this stall since young, and wanted to see if their dishes still taste as good as I remember them to be. They moved from their previous stall at Alexandra Village Food Centre to the nearby Block 127. But alas, I didn't know they are closed on every Tuesdays. So we headed towards the Alexandra Village Food Centre to see if there are any other food for us to try.

And in 荣光铁板烧鱼 Rong Guang BBQ Seafood's old stall locations, we found another BBQ Seafood stall called 星荣光铁板烧鱼 Star Yong Kwang BBQ Seafood. I didn't realize the Chinese name was similar until the hub pointed that out to me. And so we tried their food.

We had their 三峇大头 Sambal Mussels, Sambal Sotong, and Sambal Sting Ray fish. Yes I know, all sambal dishes. Only when the girls are not around!

To be fair, their dishes are not exactly cheap. But their delicious spicy sambal gravy more than makes up for the slightly higher than average price. And we were unlucky to get the tail end parts for the stingray fish, which deducts points for the hub.

Another Scooter?

Maybe it is time to get another scooter. For Kerri.

We bought the Razor Kick scooter (a 2 wheeler) for Kae even though it was meant for a 5 year old last Christmas. She already has a great sense of balance, maybe it's because she uses the Strider bike, so we thought it is best to get her a 2 wheeler instead of a 3-4 wheeler scooter.

And poor Kerri has been looking on at her sister overtime Kae scoots or strides. So the daddy decides it is time we buy Kerri her own 3 wheeler.

We are looking to buy a mini Micro Scooter for Kerri. The 2 of the 3 wheels are placed in the front which is more stable for the kids than if the 2 wheels are placed at the back. And she says she wants a purple colored one. Yes, that is her favorite color! I hope we can find it. The website shows that there are only blue and pink ones, and they costs 50 pounds each. I hope it doesn't cost too much in Singapore. Let me know if you spot any yah?

my new CC

This is my last big buy of the year. My lovely clutch. I knew I had to get it when Tasche and Beutel announced their Chanel Concierge Service for classic flaps in October. Their fees and charges are transparent and you will know exactly how much you will be paying. Once in Paris, they kept me up to date with their smses, and kept me informed of the different colors available so I can choose wisely even though I gave them only 2 color choices. That is what I call great customer service!

My initial choices of a deep red or black caviar clutch became a dark blue navy (color code 94015) lambskin clutch. The blue is so dark it looks like a black most of the time, unless in sunlight. I'm glad I bought the lambskin rather than the caviar; the leather is so smooth! And like what they advised, lambskin looks more elegant and formal compared to a caviar clutch. Thank you Tasche and Beutel!

Barclays Singapore Open 2012 Day 4

And so we headed off to what may be the last Barclays Singapore Open for the final time. Their sponsorship ends this year, and there is still no word on who the new sponsor will be.

After breakfast at the Barclays Pavilion, we started our walking tour. Boy, it was a hot hot hot day! Well, better than a rainy day.

Of course we stopped and checked out Adam Scott. It just wasn't his year, again. But he still looks good. Heh heh. The girls' favorite player no doubt.

And there's the current world number one, Rory Mcllroy, who finished in third place.

And like the year before, we managed to do a catching up at the event. Till next year girls!

Night visit to Baker and Cook

Before heading home, we took a detour to Baker and Cook for some after dinner coffee.

The little tigress enjoyed the slice of chocolate cake so much that I think she ate more of it than Kae!

While dar and myself shared a cup of Flat White.

My little tigress and me! While daddy brought Kae to the washroom. Heh.
