Sky High

Finally, I made a trip down to Marina Bay Sands for the 1st time today.


Dar was on leave, so we took the chance to venture into the new tourist attraction. Without the kids of course. Our main purpose was to go up to Ku De Ta for drinks and to admire the view. Yay! I am a mountain turtle no more!

I was quite impressed with the shopping area. Even the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf outlet at MBS is special. Rather than the usual coffee pick up joint, this particular outlet is a cafe, which serves a (huge) variety of food. And yes, the staff will take your order from where you are seated.

And the view at Ku De Ta was fantastic. Only at night though. The daytime view is not great. But I find the bar a tad small for my liking. And there are not enough seats!






Besides the bar and restaurants, one can go to the viewing deck for the view. Although I am not sure if they do charge the public for heading up. We did not pay as we went straight to the bar. And walked over to the viewing deck from the bar we did.


Can you imagine swimming at night with this view?


Next time perhaps! We'll bring the kids along for a staycation!

Time for the Bumbo

As Kerri's neck wasn't too strong and steady like Kae, we only tried to let Kerri sit in the Bumbo seat recently when she turned 5 months old.



Kae could sit in the chair when she was just 4 months old.


Kerri cannot sit still in the chair! She has quite a short attention span really. Sigh. I wonder how I am going to feed her solids next time. You see, Kae doesn't eat in a baby chair when she was younger. Her bumbo is her baby chair. So, Kerri should be following suit. Maybe I should just invest in the Ikea baby chair. Or my dream Stokke highchair!

Ballerina in the making?

I was showing Kae photos of Miki one day and she was so inspired by Miki's ballet pose at Cheng Ballet Academy that she immediately tried to imitate what Miki was doing. Hmm. I want Kae to learn ballet too!

the Early Xmas present

As mentioned in my earlier post, we were looking to buy the Strider bike for Kae as her Xmas present.

And so we did.

a Wet and Wild party

We attended another birthday party today.

It was Thane's 3rd birthday and the mummy decided to have a water themed party for her adorable little boy. Dar decided to buy a water gun for Kae in case there was not enough weapons to go round.

Boy was he wrong. Thane's mummy and daddy were not kidding when they say they are throwing a water themed party. There were plenty of ammunition for all the children. And not to mention the adults. The children were to "attack" the adults during the water fight. But it seems like the adults had more fun playing amongst themselves. While the children just simply play with water. Like what Kae did.







And my dear Kerri slept through all the water commotion.


Of course, Kae had to ask for the party pack even before we sat down to sing the birthday song for the boy of the hour.




It was definitely a party to remember; Kae had lots of fun, and so did the daddy! Haha!
