Count to 10! at Asian Civilisations Museum

Our 2nd museum stop was to the Asian Civilisations Museum for the Count to 10! A Hands on Gallery for all ages event.

It was basically a kind of treasure hunt game, where the kids have to find 10 objects while learning about the different Asian culture within the many galleries.

Okay, I shall not bore you with the 10 objects Kae and me found. Maybe just one. Kae was the one who found the very first object. And I was very very surprised as it was very very small!

This was the interesting thing I found, the very first duck to cross the finishing line in the inaugural Singapore Duck race in year 2002.

The below are the 10 objects that we found during the hunt. These are displayed at the end of the hunt when one has finished finding all the objects.

the untold story of Oz

I chanced upon this book while browsing around at Kinokuniya Takashimaya today. Oh how I miss Borders.

I was intrigued by the book especially after having watched Wicked. But I didn't buy the book. Instead I googled about the series while I stopped for coffee after.

And I discovered that Wicked is actually the 1st out of 4 novels in Gregory Maguire's The Wicked Years. Out of Oz is the 4th and last novel and was released on November 1st 2011. I didn't realize that there are 4 installments to the Wicked series. Maybe it's time to buy all 4 books and start reading. But hell, I haven't even read the many many novels I have lying at home.

Sigh, I miss the times when I could just heck care about everything and just sit and read for hours.

It's been 7 years

Was it that long ago?

It's been 7 years since we signed on that piece of paper, committing ourselves to each other for the rest of our lives, as long as we shall both live.

Happy anniversary dar!

Kerri's 2nd Birthday in school

We celebrated Kerri's birthday a day later in school.

Usually, we will just head to school during tea-time, so that all the kids can have the cake for tea. And we will bring the girls home after that. Girls meaning Kae too, last time when she celebrated her birthday when she was still in LSH.

And of course, we have to have a Hello Kitty cake for Kerri, this time from Polar Cakes.

Kerri had super teary eyes, as she had been crying in the morning. Hah! Yes, it's very obvious from the photos.

The kiddos were all just happy to have their cakes! I don't think their understanding of birthdays go beyond cakes and party packs at their age.

And thank you Ashlyn and Kayla for the present!

Happy 2nd Birthday Kerri!

It's a busy day for us, it's Kerri's birthday today, and we are having a super mini celebration for her!

We invited my friends over to celebrate Kerri's birthday as they've never seen our place yet, and our house is just big enough to accommodate them and the few kiddos. Since it's a celebration over tea time, we catered food from Orange Clove Catering, from their tea time menu. I made some sandwiches too, in case the kiddos want something more bready.

And as usual, the birthday cake is from Pine Garden's Cake. A 2 tier cake, the top tier is Triple Layer Chocolate flavor for the kiddos, and the bottom tier is for the adults, Lychee Martini flavor.

And here are some pics from the party taken with the friends.

Thank you all for attending Kerri's celebraion. And we are very grateful too for your kind and generous gifts.

Happy birthday my little tigress!
