This was our 2nd attempt but 1st visit to Gardens by the Bay. Why so? We actually went at 5ish yesterday, but the queue to the carpark was so freaking long that we decided to give up and head back the next day.
Having learnt our lesson, we arrived just before 11am the next day and thankfully the queue to the carpark was quite alright. We waited for less than 10 minutes before getting into the carpark.
We were not quite sure where to go, but seeing there was a long queue at the ticketing counters, we headed off to stroll a while and have an early lunch to beat the crowd.
After lunch at Canele, which is located at Supertree Dining ( a cluster of restaurants housed together), we headed to the ticketing counters and got our tickets to the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome.
First stop, the Cloud Forest. I was expecting the place to be real cool after reading that it may be best to bring along jackets for the kiddos. Maybe it was the outside temperature of the day or simply the huge crowd of people visiting, the forest was just cool, but not cold enough for the girls to scream for their outerwear.
After the Cloud Forest, we stopped and took a break. Kerri had to take her afternoon milk feed anyway. Which somehow translates to the girls posing with daddy's sunglasses.
After a short break, we continued to the Flower Dome. The girls were just excited they get to roam around again.
There are many different types of cactuses there. All very interesting looking!
My favorite is the lavender. You can actually smell the flowers!
Pollen, a fine dining restaurant, is housed within the Flower Dome. The place was booked for an event the day we were there.
After 3 hours of roaming the whole place, it was time to head home. I think the girls loved it there. We'll be back to see the Supertrees at night the next time!
It is best to plan your itinerary before you head to Gardens by the Bay. The whole place is huge, and the crowd there is still mind boggling.
