a sickly weekend
Me and dar fell really sick on friday night. And we still braved our sickness to bring Kae to her music class at Gymboree on saturday, and my dar still went for his golf game in the morning. Hiak. We were still feeling alrighty sick on saturday morning, despite the dreadful friday night. It went downhill again during saturday night. And Kae fell sick then.
The whole of saturday and sunday were spent moping around at home, trying to get periods of nap if Kae permits. Hah. Sunday was really spent on getting Kae to her neighbourhood pd at Tampines, and Dar to Raffles clinic at Sengkang.
It's a monday now. I am feeling much better. Dar is on medical leave today. And Kae is also recovering. Sigh. What a weekend.

Bikini model in the making
By the way, before I brought Kae down, I just had to dress her up in her Guess bikini, accompanied with her Chateau sun hat!
Haha. Ain't she pretty? Erm, but think she needs to do something about her tummy yah? For your information, she is now at a healthy weight of 10.8kg! No wonder I cannot carry her for long nowadays. My back would ache like hell after a while.
Anyhows, Kae had fun splashing in the water. Although she dare not "walk" in the pool, she had no qualms splashing the water while sitting down. Of course mummy has to sit in with her. But she was surprisingly calm and collected when I left her in the pool to take my camera which was just less than 2 metres away.
Hopefully, mummy will carry on bringing Kae down to play with water. As we all know, mummy is super lazy!

Hand in Hand
It's kinda amazing how kids can relate to each other. I remember how my cousins and I used to hang out together every school holiday at my grandma's house and at Macs. Those were the days :)

2 pretty flower-ry days
Wore Kae's on friday when we were out. The colour sorta matched what I was wearing, so I thought what the hell, since Kae already has so many clips. Anyway, I always snitch Kae's clips for my own use. Hah. You can't really see in the picture below as it is a small clip, meant for toddlers.
Wore what I bought on saturday for a wedding lunch. The lunch was held at The Fullerton Hotel. One thing different other than a lunch was that the couple exchanged their own wedding vows. Different why? Coz usually couples would declare their love by reciting the standard textbook version that is given to them. There are of course other couples who exchanged their own wedding vows, but it's been so long since I've heard one. So romantic! Heh. And Jack and Rai were the musical band entertainment for the afternoon. Heh. Felt like we were having lunch at Wala Wala!
This is me wearing the clip. Nice eh. Heh. Okay, I am vain! Haha. Ain't all women?

F.A.T.
I know this sounds irritating. Well, this sounds irritating to me when someone who is obviously so NOT fat says she is fat. I am like duh. Please. You look like you barely eat meat for goodness sake. Hah.
I AM getting fat. Why? The weighing scale does not lie right? I am now back at my pre-pregnancy weight damn it. I was 3kg lighter than my pre-preggy weight at one point. Now, I dunno how the 3kg came crawling back to me. I seriously think now that pumping milk really helps to keep one slim. And I am now just pumping once a day, 24 hourly. Hence, the fatness.
And might I add, 3kg for my short frame is freaking obvious when I try on my clothes. All the clothes that I've bought happily to fit into are now 3kg too tight. DAMN IT!

in search for The Chair
1st stop, Ikea Tampines, since it is that near to our place. As usual, we had the meatballs and chicken wings for dinner, while Kae entertained herself by having her biscuit snacks.
After dinner, we started to look around the children's section for any sign of a suitable chair. Alas, their selection is not that great, and we didn't manage to find anything comfortable for Kae.
I guess our next stop will be Life Baby :) Oh, and this is Kae in a stupid looking hat. Hah.

First Class, finally!
We enrolled her in the Music programme at Gymboree. I've always wanted to enrol Kae in a music class as she seems to love music; she dances to music, and runs out of the room to the television set whenever a song is played. We've tried Kindermusik twice. But I didn't really like it. Like what Cherine said, the teacher couldn't really engage the kids. Well, can't really blame them. Each class consists of like 10-12 kids? It's different at Gymboree. Kae's class is only 6 babies huge, including Kae, and I heard a pair of twins! We didn't see the twins today as they were absent. So, the teacher has more time to engage each baby. Because of this, I feel that the class doesn't seem as "rushed" as in Kindermusik, it's more relaxed and enjoyable. So I've decided to sign up with Gymboree instead, even though the other is more reputated and more focused on music classes. One main reason for putting Kae in a class is to allow her to interact with other kids her age. If not, I have no idea how she will react when we bring her to playschool when she's 18 months old. And that is another headache altogether; which school?
Kae walking out happily after her class:
And I noticed that Kae had a new bad habit. She slouches! Argh. Wonder where she learnt that from.

30 & Fabulous! Celebration Part 2
After a weekend of celebration, I thought that was that. Until dar came back from work, and greeted me at the door with my favourite cake from The Patissier, Passion Fruit Meringue 1 day before my birthday :) Heh.
The next day, I met up with Clarice at Canelé Pâtisserie Chocolaterie, Shaw Centre on my actual birth date for tea and a bit of catching up again. Their salad is really yummy! My Chicken Caesar was deliciously packed with tender roasted chicken meat, and their romaine lettuce was crunchy and cold! Clarice said her Salade Canele was good too. Of course we ordered their fragrant organic tea; we had their Ruby Chai and Berry Black, and their cakes!
And the sweet dear gave me my very 1st box and taste of Macaroons, after my speech about how bloody expensive these small little pastries are! Haha. But they really taste like heaven! Seriously. Oh dear, I better not get hooked on these.
Then I met dar for a simple dinner at Fishmart Sakuraya Parkway, where I had my favourite Salmon and Swordfish sashimi!
I had a truly great 4 days :)
30 & Fabulous! Celebration Part 1
We started off my 30 and fabulous! celebration with lunch at Au Petit Salut (where else!). And we had our favourite foie gras (Foie gras de canard poêlé au vinaigre de Xeres) as usual. This time round however, we both had something different as our mains; I had the "Hachis Parmentier”, which is the oven baked lamb stew with mashed potato, side salad, while dar had a mini beef rib (which is not so mini!). Yum! We both had the same dessert: choux buns filled with vanilla ice cream topped with warm chocolate sauce, sliced almonds. What a yummy start :)
Kae was playing with the plates again as usual. And she was actually quite restless throughout lunch. She usually is quite okay and well behaved if she's given biscuits to bite when we wanna have a nice meal. Nowadays, she would start to whine even before our mains are served; she wanna walk! Argh. This is one of the pitfalls of her knowing to walk. Sigh.
After lunch, we checked into the Fairmont, where we spent the night without Kae; my parents brought her back for the night. Of course we have to take some pictures of Kae before she goes off for the night :P
After Kae left, me and dar went for dinner at Les Bouchons, where we had Côte de Boeuf, a kilogram slab of prime rib for two! The food was yummilicious! And the price is reasonable too. But you got to make a reservation if you ever wanna have dinner there. It's a very small cosy place, I reckon they can only seat around 30-40 pax. I would definitely recommend this place for their Côte de Boeuf, or any other meat. Meat lovers, take note!
The next day after checking out of the hotel, we went for a spa session at Spa Sauvignon. I felt so refreshed after that!
To be continued in 30 & Fabulous! Celebration Part 2...

counting down...
I just lurve Kae in this Ginersnaps top and ruffle skirt. The skirt looks suspiciously like what Miki wore to Kae's 1st year birthday party :)
Oh, and I seriously suspect that Kae has a LV fetish. She lurves Daddy's LV wallet!

and Reality is kicking in
For those who are not yet 30 years old, THE letter is the notification you get from the Ministry of Home Affairs - Immigration and Checkpoints Authority to change your National Registration Identity Card, commonly known as the NRIC.
Under the National Registration Regulations, NRIC holders who are 30 years old on or after 1st January 2002 and who have not been issued with a replacement NRIC within the last 10 years before reaching the age of 30 will need to re-register for their NRICs.
This is just a reminder that I am hitting the three zero age box soon. In 3 days to be exact. Sigh. Not that I am not in a good place now. Just that I never thought I will be where I am right now when I am 30.
It is scary to think that 30 years can go by just like that. Imagine 30 years later, I will be 60! Yacks!

Play not Run!
Rather than playing, Kae was running all over the place. I think my baby really is super hyper. She cannot be still for a minute. I don't think she takes after either one of us in this aspect. Hah.
Look at her stylo milo standing posture!
She was fascinated by the birds at one point, and kept pointing at and running after the black flying bodies.
I've learnt one thing from this short little escapade; I can officially confirm now that my Kae is a shoe fan! She kept looking and pointing at this other baby girl's shoes.
Oh and Kae really loves her 2 pediped shoes loh. And I've already ordered 1 pair for her next size. Heehee.

6 more days...
Here's the few milestones in my life, starting from when I graduated, in the year 2001.
This is me when I just started working in July 2001; was at some inter-department soccer match.
Me and my dar were officially engaged on 8 April 2004!
We ROMed on 18 June 2005 at Bacchus Wine Bar, Fullerton Waterboat House. I love that place!
We had our traditional wedding on 3 October 2005, dinner was held at Marriott Hotel.
I only found out I was pregnant in mid May 2007. This was taken in Bintan early May 2007, when I still was in the dark.
We then had a mini celebration at Jaan, end May 2007. Heh.
Me nearing my edd which is supposed to be on 14 Jan 2008. This was taken on 2 Dec 2007. Ain't my tummy big!
And my precious princess, Kaelyn Yeo was born; on 10 January 2008, 1849hr at Raffles Hospital.
Me and Kae on my last tweny something birthday. She was 2 months old then.
And this was taken at Kae's 1st year birthday party.
I will upload some pictures from before graduation when I am free. They are now all stored in my CDs. Think I forgot to upload quite a few onto my Flickr account. Damn. I am so not looking forward to changing my NRIC!!!!
