Somehow after her switch to St James Kindergarten, Kae become more daring. Yup! She was scared of taking rides last time, but here she is asking me for change to ride in the merry go round. And of course I oblige her happily!

New kid on the block
We chanced upon this new store at Greenwood Avenue when we were there for dinner.
You can smell the goodness of bread and pastry once you step into this store. And boy, the smell is so good. I would definitely go back for a cuppa and munchies next time. Hope the food is as good as it smells!

Hokey Pokey
I finally brought Kae down to Hokey Pokey today.
It's the newest indoor playground in Singapore located at Suntec City. I went with great expectations actually, as all the reviews I read about the place was good.
I was pleasantly surprised, in both good and 1 bad way.
Let's just start with the bad. The place is super small! It stands at an area of about three 3-room flat size in Singapore maybe? And this includes the party area. Yes, 30% of the play area will be sanctioned off if there is a party going on.
And the tea area for the parents who just want to sit and watch their kids place is really small. It's just a bar table with like 5-7 chairs at the most.
But other than that, the place is really suitable for kids age 4 and under I think. The play is not like a playground full with slides and obstacles course. It's filled with sensory play toys, which younger kids will really appreciate.
Kae loved the place when i brought her there. And I've signed up membership for her on the same day. And I think I will to for Kerri. I just won't bring them there for play on weekends, when it could get pretty cramp I think.

Wala Wala
Now that we live nearby, we love to head to Wala Wala for dinner. Yes, with the kids. What's not to love about their pizza, pasta and beer?
The pain in the ass thing about heading there is the difficulty in finding a carpark lot and seats at Wala.

the Bomb
Oh My God! We were just informed today that the school will be close for 10 days because they want to take precaution for HFMD. Even when the threshold is not reached. Yes, I understand the school's good intenton. But shouldn't they give me one or 2 days' notice instead of like 12 hours notice?

Kae and Kerri at Playclub
Kae didn't have any school today, so I brought her along to to Kerri's Playclub lesson at JG.
The other toddlers were looking at her the whole while, I guess it's because she's the oldest kid there. It's kinda fun to see how the sisters act together in class. At least they didn't fight over toys in school! It would have been so embarrassing!

Wicked!
Finally! I get a chance to watch Wicked! I waited 5 months for this. Yup. Ever since it opened in December 2011, I've been waiting to see when I can watch the musical.
And the musical certainly didn't disappoint. The star of the show for me has to be Elfie. Love love love her! If I ever head to Broadway, I want to watch this again!

Forty Hands
We had coffee at Forty Hands tonight.
I like their coffee. But I don't really dig their shop. Yes, It's housed at the old conserved shop house at Tiong Bahru. It has a very old, rustic feel. But the shop is quite small, and there's only 1 small area in the cafe. At the back end of the cafe, it's an open area, where it's just tables and chairs for people to sit. I forgot to take pics of the shop. But having said all that, I will return, just for their aromatic coffee.
another Last Minute buy
It seems like every event we plan now all happens last minute. Our Taipei trip, and now this.
Yay! I am finally going to watch Wicked 1 week before the curtain closes!

Something Old, something New
I saw this at Sanrio today.
I remember I had one exactly like this when I was a little girl. Okay, maybe not exactly, but it looked almost the same. It's funny how some things still remain the same even after over twenty years.

Last day of family trip - Taipei Day 5
And we woke to our last day in Taipei! Which means we do nothing but wake, eat, pack and head off to the airport!
And guess what, there's a Hello Kitty Dream World at the airport! The Gift shop, Departure Lobby, Baby room and Play area are all enough to make any Kitty fans swoon.
Bye Bye Taipei!

Taipei Day 4 Part 2
Kae had fun being a policewoman, nurse and a safari explorer today! All at Baby Boss!
Baby Boss is Taiwan's 1st simulation city made just for children. The city is designed to create an environment for children to play and learn at the same time. With an area of 2300 square feet, the city has over 70 different occupations for the kids to explore. Unfortunately, being the klutz that I usually am, I got the opening hours wrong and they actually close earlier than what I thought. So, Kae only had time to do 3 occupations that day.
The first, a policewoman! Look at how smart she is!
And Kerri fell asleep!
Her 2nd occupation for the day was a nurse at the nursery. I thought she looked so sweet and demure in the uniform!
And Kerri woke just after a short nap!
And her last occupation for the day was a safari explorer!
After all that work, we headed to a place nearby our hotel for our last dinner in Taipei. Somehow Taipei has Japanese culture infused in their daily lives. Hello Kitty Sweets, and all that Japanese eateries are found everywhere.
