My dad was born in the year of the dragon, so no prizes for guessing how old he's turning today.
We went to Peperoni Pizzeria for dinner to celebrate his 60th birthday.
It's a very cosy place, and the whole set up is not pretentious at all. The simple decor, with no frills tables and chairs give a homely feel. It's a good place to dine with your family, especially if you have children, as the tables are lined with papers, and a cup of crayons is placed on every table. Kae and Kerri were entertained throughout.
My favorite food from them is definitely their pizza. As there were 6 adults, we ordered the Family pizza, which is of a 21 inch diameter, to share. Though we were not impressed by the standard of the pizza the first time we were there (this was our second), I was completely blown away by the flavors we ordered this time round. We had half of the pizza in Frutti di Mare (consists of prawn, clams, scallops, squid rings, garlic and fish), and Prosciutto Crudo di Parma (consists of parma ham and rocket salad). A MUST order from them! Okay, now I'm salivating.
Kae had their Bolognese from the kids' menu, and the portion is huge! Not like other restaurants whereby they serve measly portions just because it's for kids.
Some shots of us over dinner.
After the delicious dinner, we headed back to our place, which is just a 2 minutes drive away, for cake cutting. Okay, it's not really a cake, i bought my favorite Passion Fruit Meringue log from The Patissier counter at Takashimaya.
Happy birthday daddy!
